Safety Training information about IPAF training.
The IPAF card is accepted by many diverse organisations as proof of competence when operating powered access equipment.
Almost all construction trades need to work at height at some point and although there are options such as ladders and scaffolds available, the use of MEWPS is widespread. It is therefore vital that operators are trained to a high level of safety.
IPAF Training is the number one qualification for operators of powered access machines and is available throughout the UK at Boss Training centres or on-site.
There are different categories of powered access machines:
Category 1a is a static Vertical
Category 1b is a static Boom
Category 3a is a mobile Vertical
Category 3b is a mobile Boom
These are by far the most popular categories although others such as Push Around Verticals, Insulated Aerials and Specialised machines are available.
Anyone who is thinking of undertaking an IPAF Training Course must first consider which category of machine they will be using and inform the IPAF training centre of this beforehand so as to ensure correct training.
